Story: The small Moselle town shows its warmest side in the dark season: during the holidays! The atmospheric Christmas market in Cochem is held on the market square, where a beautifully decorated tent stands next to romantic wooden houses. A real delight are the culinary specialties that are only available on the Moselle, such as curry wurst, crêpes and waffles!

Story: We’re true coffee lovers and if there’s anything that makes our heart beats faster, it’s coffee specialties. A chai latte, pumpkin spice latte or espresso with 90% cocoa, we love it all! A very nice coffee place in Cochem is Cochemer Kaffeerösterei. It is located on the cozy ‘Marktplatz’ in Cochem’s town. A market square you should definitely wander around at.

Story: The Enderttor is the most powerful of the three remaining city gates of Cochem, next to the Martinstor and the Balduinstor. The yellow building next to it dates from 1332 and served as a guard house next to the gate. On the facade are marks of high water from 1781 and 1784.

Story: The Alte Senfmühle is a 200 year old mustard mill, probably the oldest in Europe. A 'mustard miller' gives guided tours of the mill and shows visitors how mustard is prepared. Cochem is also known for its different types of mustard, including Riesling mustard and comb mustard. If you love mustard, you should go here!

Story: For a photogenic backdrop, head to Bernstraße. In this nice little shopping street you look out over the St. Martin’s Church. This church is one of the best-preserved architectural marvels in Cochem. Even from the outside is is beautiful, as the architecture and steeple is so unique!
