About 2h 45min from Frankfurt we will cross the German border into Alsace for a grape day out along the Alsace wine route. Alsace is a charming and humbling wine region loaded with history and its own unique cooler climate wine and rustic cuisine. The wine route passes through charming, quaint -fairytale, fortified villages and rolling vineyards set against a back drop of the Vosges mountains speckled with castle ruins.
