This limestone quarry, created during the Cretaceous Period, contains one of the clearest lakes in Zealand! This is a popular spot for picnics in the summer. The Jutland Aquarium is just one of the places in this area that organizes oyster safaris! On an oyster safari, you can expect to spend about 2 to 3 hours hunting oysters and cooking with a guide. The oyster season starts in September and ends at the end of April or the beginning of May, depending on the spring weather.

This is Denmark's largest national park and a UNESCO World Heritage Destination! This unique area features the largest "unbroken system of intertidal sand and mud flats in the world." Twice a day, the tide is so low that you can walk or drive out on the flats and explore the bottom of the sea! In the fall, millions of starlings stop here and create huge moving shapes, a phenomenon called the "Black Sun." You can also see Denmark's largest population of harbor seals (a tour is a great way to do this), go oyster hunting, take a "tractor bus" across the tidal flats to Mandø, and so much more!

This restaurant sits on one of the highest hills in the Svanninge Bakker nature area. The restaurant was built in 1926 by a farmer who also happened to be very interested in astronomy. He constructed a 60-foot tower behind the restaurant in 1935, which still stands today and is a great place for stargazing or just taking in the views.
