See MoreCenote Suytun
- Pro tip: visit the suytun cenote in the summer around 1-3pm… this is the only time that sunlight enters through a small hole, illuminating the stone pathway perfectly. This pathway was built by ancient mayans and used for ceremonies and sacrifices… so you can imagine that this specific timing is extremely symbolic. Take it all in.
- Important tip for visiting cenotes: do not wear sunscreen, lotions, or mosquito repellent. You HAVE to shower before visiting certain cenotes, but even if this isn’t a requirement to the one you’re visiting, be respectful of the environment the water in the cenotes is very delicate and easily contaminated, so do your part to respect these magical places.
See MorePlaya Paraíso
important tip- it’s free to get to this beach if you access it from Tulum playa, but if you try to bike to it through the national park you have to pay an entry fee!

RENT BIKES is the Most important tip for your first time in tulum. Tulum Centro is a different city than tulum playa, but you don’t have to stress about getting between the two! There are dedicated bike lanes throughout the area, so just rent bikes and explore the area. We rented our bikes from flying fish tulum, which has the best bikes for rent in Tulum! These trips made our trip, and we’d totally recommend renting from them!
