Three hotel recommendations, two high end, one more affordable, all three worth it. This first one is a Santa Barbara legend on the hill overlooking the city and the ocean. Great restaurants, rooms and history. Many Hollywood stars from the 40's forward have stayed in this hallowed hotel.

This second hotel is on the beach with great views. You can lawn bowl, have great drinks and just relax once you walk by the Ferrari's, Rolls Royce's etc.

The last hotel is great and is right downtown with great walking to State Street, the art districts, the wharf and easy access to 101 to get north and south.

Stearns Wharf
Enjoy walking the pier, grab some fresh seafood and enjoy watching the birds and fishermen.

The historic Mission is a beautiful walk of the grounds and a read of the history of Santa Barbara. Hit the Mission and the Presidio to understand regional heritage.

Walk historic State Street. They have taken three blocks dedicating them to pedestrians, clubs, and restaurants.

Paseo Nuevo
Hit the shops and restaurants downtown. Head south down State to the beach and ensure to stop at some of the local antique shops.
