Duck's Cottage
Start your morning at with coffee and pastries at Duck’s Cottage! It’s the cutest coffee shop located in the Soundside shops. It doubles a book store so be sure to pick up a beach read. Pro tip: get there early. This plays fills up fast.

Take a walk with your coffee around Duck boardwalk and see beautiful views of the Albermarle Sound. You’ll be able to walk here from the coffee shop.

Before you head out of town, make sure to stop at the Tomato Shack to grab produce, jams, jellies, cheeses and more!

North Beach Access Road
Pack lunch, beach chairs, and towels and head up to Corolla! It’s about a 20 minute drive north from Duck. Take Route 12 N all the way up and eventually you’ll hit the beach access road. There’s wild horse on this beach so stay on the lookout for them! You can find a quiet spot to park and spend the day at the beach here.

Public Access Beach
Spend the morning at the beach! Most houses in Duck are in communities with private beach accesses, so depending on where you’re staying you probably have access to one of those. If not, check out this public beach access in Kitty Hawk close by.

Go for lunch at Aqua! You can sit outside on their deck over looking the sound or if you need a break from the heat opt for inside. My favorite lunch to get here is the tuna poke or fish tacos!

Do some shopping at Seagreen Gallery and in the rest of Duck! You’ll actually be able walk on Duck boardwalk that starts at Aqua to Seagreen Gallery.

Grab dinner at The Blue Point! They have a great outdoor back bar that over looks the sound. Stop by it for drinks at sunset before heading inside for dinner. You can walk in for drinks, but reservations are necessary for dinner.
