This was something I admittedly had not done before. I recommend taking a class beforehand or making sure you have some type of experience, but this was by far the highlight of the trip! If you don’t mind heights, this is a whole different way to see the park. We used Jackson Hole Mountain Guides, and our badass guide, Lisa, was amazing. We felt very safe and had the best day.

There are so many hiking opportunities within Grand Teton National Park, but we really enjoyed going to Delta Lake. Delta Lake is an unofficial trail within the park, so it's not well-marked and has some confusing parts, but it's so worth it! It’s a great, albeit strenuous, day hike.

While in the Wild Wild West, you should definitely go horseback riding! Jackson and the Tetons are home to numerous dude ranches, rodeos, and cowgirls and cowboys. We did a two-hour trail ride with Heart Six Ranch in Moran, WY, which also included dinner.

Cowboy Village Resort
These are really cute, small cabins within walking distance of downtown Jackson. Happy to report there are showers and hot water here! It's a great place to stay if you’re looking to be closer to town and have amenities. We used it after camping, and it was a wonderful relief from sleeping on the ground.

Gros Ventre Campground
This campground has bathrooms and drinking water, with campsites and RV hookups. It's conveniently located close to the entrance of the park. Downside: There is no hot water or showers. Upside: Beautiful views of the Tetons!
