Shem Creek Park
Shem Creek Park offers some free parking directly in front of the park entrance. Most other places on Shem Creek have paid parking. Walk the picturesque boardwalk out into the water. You can also take it all the way to the bars and restaurants too!

Mount Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park
This park is directly under the Ravenel bridge that connects Mount Pleasant to downtown. They have tons of green space, a walking path, and kids’ playgrounds.

Post House
While I definitely recommend Post House Inn as a place to stay, I put it here because it’s also fabulous for dinner or brunch. You can sit out on the patio of the weather is nice. Interior design + food and cocktails give this place 10/10.

Muddy's Dockside Bar
Muddy’s is my pick for a beer on Shem Creek. I feel this is controversial because most would be running to Saltwater Cowboys on the other side of the creek. But I personally always find that so crowded that it’s unpleasant. I’d rather go to Muddy’s, which is a little quieter and closer to the water.
