Crystal-clear beaches, unforgettable stingray encounters, and a quick flight from the southern U.S. make Grand Cayman the perfect family-friendly island escape, easy to reach, hard to leave
Cayman Turtle Centre
We visited the Cayman Turtle Centre first thing in the morning, and it was the best decision, cooler temps and fewer crowds. We got to see hatchlings, swim with turtles, and even catch a shark feeding. It’s a fun, family-friendly stop that supports conservation.

See MoreSeven Mile Beach
Seven Mile Beach completely lived up to the pictures online, which I think is hard to do. The water is that perfect shade of turquoise, crystal clear and calm, and the sand is soft and white, just like you’d imagine in a screensaver. It’s super walkable, family-friendly, and easy to find quiet stretches even in the more popular spots with restaurants. We spent hours just swimming, playing, and soaking it all in.
See MoreStingray City Cayman Islands
No trip to the Cayman Islands is complete without a visit to Stingray City. We booked with Black Pearl Private Charters and had an amazing, personalized experience. The stingrays were like gentle ocean puppies—so friendly and calm. While they do have stingers, they only use them in self-defense, and if one is lost, it can take 5–10 years to regrow.

Tillie’s at Palm Heights was one of our absolute favorite dining spots on Seven Mile Beach. With its chic beachfront setting and seaside elegance, it’s easy to see why celebrities like Tom Cruise and Madonna have vacationed here. The menu draws from the Greater Antilles, offering fresh, vibrant dishes alongside stunning ocean views
See MoreBonny Moon Beach Club
Bonny Moon quickly became one of our favorite spots on Seven Mile Beach. The vibe was relaxed yet elevated, and the food was incredible. We shared the lobster sandwich and the chicken pita, both packed with flavor. The sweetest touch? Our waitress brought our daughter some sand toys, and we ended up swimming on the beach for an hour after our meal without ever feeling rushed. Highly recommend for a laid-back, delicious experience just steps from the sand.
