This was the perfect spot for an afternoon wine tasting. Tastings are only $5 and if you choose to buy a bottle to enjoy on site, they have outdoor seating where you can enjoy it.

Holladay Distillery
I absolutely loved this distillery tour. Who knew Missouri was home to bourbon manufacturing. Learning about all the history was incredible and of course, there will be a tasting in the end.

Weston Bend State Park
We spent part of the afternoon here exploring a peaceful trail with great views of the river. Highly recommend finding time for Weston Bend.

This reservation-only spot was the food highlight of our weekend. Exceptional service and food. Please note it is bring your own bottle, should you choose to enjoy wine with dinner.

Day 2

Seventh Street Cafés
We started our morning with a coffee and a savory crepe from this cafe in downtown St. Joseph.

Patee House Museum
This museum is filled with a variety of things from trains, cars, history and hotel rooms. We spent about an hour and a half here and loved our visit.

The Wyeth Tootle Mansion
This gothic style mansion was right across the street from our hotel and made for a great afternoon visit. Please note the this venue also hosts events (there was a wedding being set up the day we visited) so please check their website to confirm availability.

Cafe Belle Epoque
We absolutely loved this spot for lunch. Some of my favorite dishes were the hummus appetizer and rueben bake.

Remington Nature Center
We spent a few hours exploring the Nature Center and Riverwalk on the property. There are tons of exhibits on local history and wildlife, including a life-sized woolly mammoth replica!

Enjoy a leisurely stroll along the Riverwalk next to the nature center.

Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art
Visiting this art museum was the perfect way to spend the afternoon. There are exhibits spread across several floors including rotating exhibits.

We absolutely loved this authentic Louisiana cuisine restaurant. It’s clear it’s a fan favorite of St Joseph by how busy it was the night we went. Don’t skip the bread pudding for dessert.
