The highlight of my weekend was the Windy City Thunderbolts game. They’re a minor league baseball team in the Southland area and their game was such a good time. Plenty of fun for family and friends.

Pullman National Historical Park
I was amazed to learn there’s a National Historic Park right here in my own backyard south of Chicago. I was lucky enough to visit during Pullman Rail Days festival where I was able to take a tour through restored rail cars. The visitor center also shares a ton on labor history and the Pullman family.

This beautiful restaurant in Orland Park was a great place to stop for lunch. I got the chicken parm sandwich and it was fantastic. Plus the staff was so kind!

You don’t want to miss this adorable home goods store. They have everything from home decor, snacks and personal care items, many of which are from local suppliers. You can get lost shopping in this store for hours!
