The SAC, Swiss Alpine Club, has over 120 alpine huts across the Alps that can be reserved for overnight stays or hiked up to for a snack and day-long adventure. This itinerary focuses on a few of the huts in the Interlaken area, but make sure to do more research beyond this and book ahead of time.

Warm up by spending one night in this lovely lodge amidst alpine meadows that sleeps 24 people. They also serve basic lunches and pastries for day hikers! Take a drive now to start hiking up to your next hut on the route.
A simple hut stay, with no caretakers, with truly unparalleled views. This hut has a true alpine ascent that should only be attempted in dry conditions. It is open from June through October. The normal route up runs from Stechelberg and takes 5-6 hours.
Take the By Stechelberg/Rottalhütte up to this alpine hut. The day will be long (and taxing), but the views make it all worth it. Spend the night here before climbing back down toward your next hut. If you are an experienced mountaineer, you may take a high alpine ascent route to Jungfrau via Innere Rottalgrat or to Äbeni Flue via Stufestei glacier from here.
A larger, more popular option amongst day hikers with an absolutely unparalleled patio and service experience. Rooms are basic and cozy, and this spot has an ideal location for exploring other day hikes in the area. The loop hike here is a popular day excursion for folks staying at the lodge.
You can take a ride on the cable car here to shorten your round-trip hike and drink in the scenic views.
Hike back down for one more night amidst the mountains at this hut. It's a great launching pad for day hikes in the area. Tanzbödeli is a favorite!
Do a day hike up to Tanzbodeli, a scenic viewpoint over rolling valley hills and snowcapped mountains of the Alps.
