Washington State Ferry

The ferry from Anacortes is one of the many ways to make it to the Friday Harbor. We walked on as it was significantly cheaper with five of us, but you can drive on as well. It is much pricier than walking on so if you don’t need to take the car, I would park it at one of the many parking areas next to the ferry terminal.

Friday Harbor Frenzy Scavenger Hunt

We decided to try out this experience to get a better chance of seeing what fun things we could find on the island. The girls really enjoyed this as there was rumor of a unicorn to be found during the experience. We went into some stores and smaller places around town that we may not have visited if we hadn’t gone on this scavenger hunt.

Book

The Toy Box

The Toy Box was instantly spotted when we were walking to the meeting spot by the girls. We told them we would stop on the way back to the ferry. The good news for the girls was that the Toy box was included in our scavenger hunt. So, we spent some extra time in the shop where there may or may not have been a purchased toy

Griffin Bay Bookstore & Cafe

This little bookstore was stocked with books in every nook and cranny. There were two levels to the store, on the upper level is a kid section and small coffee shop. I grabbed a midday chai and a few other things.

Downriggers - Friday Harbor

Downriggers was honestly one of the best lunch spots I have been to in a long while! The view also helped sell this place. We ate the turkey pesto sandwich with a gf bun, a downriggers burger, and cavatappi pasta. Chloe and I also enjoyed ourselves with a long island iced tea.

Be Chic Boutique

Be Chic was a cute little boutique shop with clothes, essential oils and more. I think Chloe and I smelled just about every scent they had to offer in the shop.

The Bait Shop

The Bait Shop offers easy, quick food, like hot dogs, fries and more. We of course went in for the soft served ice cream to treat the kids with. The highlight for the kids was the rainbow sprinkles on top.
