My name is Romain, I'm 24 years old and
I was born and raised in southern France.
When I graduated from my Master of Arts,
I started travelling. Today I've been to a few
interesting places and Steller looks like it's
the right tool for going deeper into details
instead of just bringing a visual content.
This time it's about my trip in Yukon, CA,
this remote place where I discovered feelings
I haven't experienced before.

T H E D O M E
⁂ I consider my digital camera as a motion picture tool. I hate taking stills with it… I always end up with 10+ shots of the same thing, it involves a selection and an edit most of the time. On top of that, it makes you look like a photographer to show them and I’m not. When you are on a trip or holidays and want to capture a moment, a film camera is perfect to me. You take one shot, and that’s it. It’s modest, true and and if it’s blurry, it tells about the moment too. The natural colors of a film are great, and I’m always excited when I pick up my scans I feel like it’s christmas.
The next shot was snapped from the top of The Dome, near Dawson city.

Caption: The Dempster Highway is the only road going through Yukon from south to north.
It starts from Dawson and ends at Inuvik in the NWT. You can ride this dirt road for hours without seeing anyone.

⁂ I was only shooting during my spare time. I have no photos showing us doing some gold panning, explore giant shipwrecks, drive along the Top Of The World highway, or entering the Tombstone Territorial park... You will be able to discover all this & more at the end.

⁂ The midnight sun light is the prettiest light I've seen. It just brings an indescribable mood that you have to experience by yourself. We were waiting for that dusk to hit the road so we could enjoy the sceneries with this mystical atmosphere.

Caption: You can't actually walk in the tundra without a proper equipment. This is why there's a lot of road shots, we didn't got off it.

and jumped in this airplane to fly over Lowell Glacier, very close to Alaska. Priceless memories from take off to landing.
