Autumn fog.
I had been looking forward to this day.
I love photo walks in the fog.

Caption: The fog allows you to go on a very common walk and see it in a totally new and different way.
Distractions disappear. Background buildings, signs, wires and lights are all gone.
Nothing but the essentials are left.
It's the magic.

But bring on the fog and it becomes mysterious, magical and photogenic.

Caption: One nice effect is that this usually well trafficked walking path is pretty devoid of other walkers.
This is what meditative walking is all about. The quiet, the mysterious, the magical.
A few hard core souls still come out. There is not a lot of the normal chatting or friendly greetings as people enjoy the quietness but the smiles continue.

Caption: As the morning wears on it begins to warm. The sun is trying to break through and put an end to the magical morning. Buildings hidden in the mystical fog now begin to show themselves. We know it had to end eventually but the time passed so quickly.
