Caption: 7 THINGS TO DO AND
SEE IN HEIDELBERG 1. Visit the Heidelberg Palace (From before 1214, now a ruin).
2. Enjoy the panoramic view of the city and valley from the Palace garden.
3. Walk across the Neckar on the Alte Brücke (Old Bridge). It was constructed in 1788 from sandstone and is a beautiful arch bridge.
4. Explore the Altstadt (old town)

Caption: 4. Admire the Church of the Holy Spirit, placed in the centre of the city on the Marktplatz (opened in 1398)
6. Hike the Philosophenweg (2 km path on the opposite side to the castle with amazing views of the castle and city.
7. If you like hiking, there are several great hikes around the area, like a hike to the Königstuhl, Michealskloster and Heidelberger Thingstätte

6. Visit Schlosspark with unique and exotic trees.
