Caption: This emblem of the Vieux-Québec is a luxury hotel with 611 rooms. It was sponsored by the Canadian Pacific Railroad and opened in 1893. The huge building is of Châteauesque style and inspired by the Loire castles in France.

Caption: The basilica-cathedral has been destroyed and rebuilt many times over the centuries. Its current Neoclassical façade was completed in 1843. It has the only holy door in America.
