Caption: #ourtablestories | Vol 33 Time passes so fast even we could notice. Exactly 3 years ago we stepped out of our comfort zone and started this website. To celebrate this special day we decided to make a special cake like last year!
We all love tiramisu but we all know it is not easy to prefect it. Therefore we decided to make one in a form of a cake! Will a splash of rum in the vanilla cake it make a big difference.

Caption: Cake Base We make a basic vanilla cake base to replace the classic ladyfinger of the tiramisu. All you need is the staple ingredients; butter, caster sugar, flour, vanilla extract, eggs, milk and our special ingredients baking powder!
The baking powder is an important ingredient here as it help to give a spongy texture to the cake!
All you need is to mix them up and but the mixture in the oven.

Caption: Espresso Soak In the transitional tiramisu we will soak them in a coffee mixture for a few seconds! For this recipes we don’t want to miss this step! As the cake is more thick then the lady finger you can drizzle more of them to moist up the dough!
The most important part is to add a splash of rum into the coffee mixture. It will spice up the whole cake. You can leave them out if you are making for the kids, it will still taste amazing!

Caption: Mascarpone Frosting Here comes the most important part of the cake, the frosting! Mascarpone is my favorite cream in the world, as it taste amazing in dessert at the same time you won’t get sick of it!
We mixed mascarpone and powdered sugar together with a hand mixer for a few minutes till combine. Remember not to over beat them!
