Caption: I finally did it, I got my butt to the Yukon and it was such an incredible experience.
Within 3 whirlwind shooting days I managed Aurora hunting (unsuccessful), food photography (and eating), dog sledding, Whitehorse wanderings AND a wonderful afternoon at the Yukon Wildlife Preserve. (My favorite)
I hope you like my shots.

Caption: The Yukon Wildlife Preserve is only open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday during Winter so plan your trip accordingly.
Roughly half of my photos were taken inside the fence as I applied for a special photography permit.
Most of these close ups were taken with my @Olympus_AU OM- D E-M1 & 300mm prime. 📷

Caption: Generally speaking I find it hard to photograph "landscapes" in Winter due to lack of colors but the Yukon provided me an abundance of opportunities!
From lookouts to wintery walks, a drive to Carcross to a Whitehorse sunset ... There was plenty to shoot and LOVE! 😍😍

Caption: It's hard to believe that I only had THREE full days in the Yukon because each day was so full of adventure and experience.
Next year I want to go back in Fall and head to Dawson for a "Sour Toe Cocktail" (😳😬😩😜) and another shot at the Aurora!
