Caption: The Venetian Fortress, officially called Koulés, is the most well-known landmark in Heraklion. You can enter the fortress if you visit during daytime, but you won’t regret it either if you go during golden hour. It is the best spot to watch the sunset in Heraklion, if you ask me!
