Caption: The Postenturm is a highlight you must see in Bacharach. Today the Postenturm is a walk-in observation tower. Originally it was a former defence tower in the northern wall of the Bacharach town fortifications. The way to the Postenturm is really worth it. From here you have a unique panoramic view of Bacharach. The post tower is one of the loveliest vantage points of Bacharach. The ‘Posten’ is a well-known Bacharach vineyard. We were here in winter and the view was limited by the fog, but we can imagine it’s fairylike in spring and summer.
