Caption: On August 29, 2020, The Metropolitan Museum of Art officially reopened in New York City. The Met has not been closed for more than three days for over a century, much less an extended period of nearly six months.
Patrons are invited to view three debut exhibitions-MAKING THE MET, 1870–2020; The Roof Garden Commission: Héctor Zamora, LATTICE DETOUR; and Jacob Lawrence: THE AMERICAN STRUGGLE. Yoko Ono’s DREAM TOGETHER (2020), also offers a powerful message of hope and unity to the world at The Met's entrance.
