Caption: The Huacachina oasis is by far one of our favorite places in Peru. The story behind Huacachina is fairytale in itself, but when you see the city with your own eyes, you really understand why we love this place so much.
The story goes that a long time ago a Peruvian princess walked through the desert. She wanted to take a bath, but was brutally interrupted by a hunter. The princess had no choice but to flee and she left behind a pool of water. Today this pool is called Huacachina: a breathtaking blue lagoon surrounded by palm trees and sand dunes.
