Caption: A place like no other
An experience like none before

Caption: About 30 minutes outside of the city of Rwanda, We helped a small village build a house for a widowed mother of 7. Her husband had died of sickness a year prior & their family was sleeping without shelter most nights.
This was the oldest daughter of the 7 on my left & the youngest baby in my arms.

Caption: After men poured barrels of water from the river into the ground, these women would stomp & beat it into the dirt, making a hard mud formation, while dancing around and singing to songs with us & the rest of the village.
Beating it into the dirt would make a hard enough mud, clay-like mixture which we would then pile onto the walls of the home, making a strong foundation for it to stand.

Caption: A couple of girls in a village both named Grace. When they found out I shared the same name as them they both kissed me on the cheek & told me we would be sisters for life.
