Caption: In late September/ early October of 2014, my boyfriend and I, along with his family, took a 3 week New Zealand/Australia trip. On our last day of the trip, the two of us ditched the city of Melbourne for a one-day road trip down The Great Ocean Road. It was just as great as its name indicates. Actually, it was greater.

Caption: The Great Ocean Road took us by spectacular seaside views, but it also led us through quaint towns, into the forest, and past prosperous farmland. It was the most diverse one-day drive I have been on to date.

Twelve Apostles
Caption: We drove all day, making stops to stroll on the beach, eat and wander in the seaside town of Lorne, hike towards a waterfall, and generally just to admire the amazing scenery that surrounded us. Along the way we had the good fortune to spot both a koala and a wallaby in the wild.
Our only objective of the day was to reach the Twelve Apostles by sunset. We made it just in time. It was well worth it...
