Caption: THE ROOM I LOVED MY ROOM !!! For NYC standards it was a nice size, I love the maritime themed windows and the overall style was great. For me it’s always about the sheets. The sheets were purrrrfect.

Caption: It’s hard to beat the location of The Dream Hotel. It’s on the West Side Just above the Meatpacking District, close to The West Village and right at the foot of the Highline.

Caption: Part of the neighborhood charm is that small off the beaten path restaurants are still to be found. The Wild Son serves breakfast lunch and dinner. I had an egg sandwich with cauliflower, serranos, and Sriracha in a baguette. LOVED IT  LOCAL-EATS THE WILD SON

Caption: Chelsea Market is just out the front door. It’s certainly one of the highlights of the neighborhood. Fantastic restaurants, shopping, coffee, local artists and an amazing building.

Caption: CULL & PISTOL Oysters on the half shell with a rose cider hit the spot ! Next door there’s a fish market serving all your favorite shell fish and a small sushi bar. I could have eaten a meal here everyday.

They have the best banana pudding with Nilla Wafers you’ve ever had in your life, and my fave - the cupcakes. I like the cake to frosting ratio. If you want to skip all meals and only eat cupcakes I support you !

Caption: MAIN EVENT: THE HIGH LINE The High line runs along the Westside Highway. It’s a 1.45 mile elevated viaduct that opened in 2009. It’s a fantastic example of a modern day use of an outdated structure. It’s planted beautifully, there’s fantastic views, and provides a sense of escape.
