TBJT is managed by the government of Central Java.
Caption: This post just focuses on TBJT's "teater arena" which is often used as a drama stage, but did you know that the shape or form of the "teater arena" is adapted from greek classical theaters?
now let's find out

Caption: Just the same isn't it.
The purpose of those structure is to make everything in the stage open so the audience can see the performance clearly and then the audience seats were built in tier around the stage to make sure the audience just focuses on one central point.
Caption: The greek called their structure "theater" which has a meaning "see", so the main purpose of the design is making the audiences see the show
Caption: The capacity of theater arena is just about 200 audiences, but in Greek Classical Theater can contain fifteen thousand audiences and even more
Caption: what considerations should you make in terms of stage awareness, properties (theatrical scenery)?
Caption: First, TBJT is smaller than Greek Classical Theater, so the audience can see the expression of the actors clearly without using any mask. Meanwhile in Greek Classical Theater the actors need mask to show their characters and expressions
Second, TBJT do not use natural lighting as Greek Classical Theater did, but they use electical lighting which can affect an act whether it is happy, sad, angry etc
Caption: Third, Since TBJT is a dark place or not using any natural lighting, painting background is useless in this place. So the properties have an important role in this case. The properties are more appropriate to be used as a background than the painting background
