Caption: Last weekend couldn't come round fast enough. Richard had been away the previous weekend, and Harris and I had been stuck in the city. You might think, that sounds okay. Edinburgh's a nice city to be stuck in. And you'd be right. But honestly, I long for the sea. I survive in the city all week, waiting for the weekend and the sea. Harris is the same.

Caption: So last weekend we drove down the coast on both Saturday and Sunday. Saturday to Yellowcraig, and on Sunday to the neighbouring beach at North Berwick. I wasn't planning a story here. I was just taking photos as we walked (mostly of Harris!). But sometimes you need to share a simple story. A tale of two beaches. A #stellerwalk

Yellowcraig Beach

Caption: First the woods, damp underpaw, and gloomy on this overcast day. And then the beach. I'm fascinated by rocks, and this stretch of coastline offers some beautiful colours. We walked to the far end of Yellowcraig beach, where you'll find rocks and pebbles with pink and purple hues.

Caption: Sunday was so blue. The light was low, shimmering on the sea. And while we're used to beachwalking in howling gales, it was so calm.
