Picture
Caption: In April 2015, my friend Heidi was traveling to South Korea. In need of some time away, I decided to join her. Then two became three when our friend Pei, who was traveling in Vietnam, took a detour to meet us. We became Seoul sisters, exploring the sights and experiencing the culture and food that make this country so great.

Caption: We stayed in the university town of Hongdae. At night, the streets were bustling with college kids. But in the early morning hours, the town seemed deserted and finding an open café was a challenge. Luckily, we came across a lovely café that was open 24 hours. The salt and pepper haired barista really seemed to enjoy making coffee and it was truly the best coffee I had in Seoul.

street food and baked goods,
and just wander the town to take in the sights.
We got around mostly by subway and on foot, covering an average of 10 miles a day walking the city.
