Caption: Took a bit of a detour on our drive down the Blue Ridge Parkway to drive across the border to South Carolina to visit the Poinsett Bride. The road was built in 1820 and connected Greenville, SC to Asheville, NC. Now it’s a serene stop off along the scenic route.

Caption: Next stop? Campbell’s Covered Bridge. It was built in 1909 and was named after a the man who operated a grist mill there. It is the last extant covered bridge in South Carolina.
