Caption: S N O W R O M P I’ve had some major FOMO seeing everyone’s snowy photos from the East Coast (SNOMO? FOSNO??), so I took Diamond up the road to see some of our own snow! ❄️🌲 My anxiety has been pretty bad lately and it’s really messing with my sleep. Today I woke up really late in the morning because of it and was just plain cranky... I hated our cabin, regretted moving here, and didn’t know what to do with myself or my day (and definitely didn’t feel like working because I’m soooo ready for a break). So I loaded the puppy into the truck and headed to the end of the road — seriously, they literally close the highway past my house during the winter because of avalanche danger! So we parked the truck and proceeded on foot, romping along the way... and it was exactly what I needed to clear my head and tire out my body (and the puppy). I got some good belly laughs in while Diamond learned all about snow, plus nothing beats a gust of cold mountain air to the face to remind you of the basic necessities of life and survival in this wild, wild world. Now I’m cozy by the fire with a bowl of pasta & glass of wine and suddenly things don’t feel so bad ❤️
