Caption: It's summertime. And there's no summery desserts could literally beat ice-cream, especially in Singapore – a little country where the weather is essentially hot all year round. With a tough yet sweet path I've been on for the past 8 months, I guess it's time for me to conduct a list of the best ice-cream in town.

Caption: What can I say about this little treasure? Nothing but a pure sweet treat. Located at Holland Village – a well-known shopping and dining destination of Singapore.

Caption: To say their ice creams are good would be an understatement. The brand alone has been around for more than a decade, offering customers their homemade desserts that are eggs-free, made with low fat milk and stuffed with fresh produce.
The most notable flavours might just be chendol, durian, coconut, Hei Sesame, Utterly Avocado and Yellow Brick Road. Single scoop starts from around $3-$4 with topping from $1.

Caption: Milkcow indeed is a Korean Organic Soft Serve ice-cream parlour, decked out in black and white interior design, located off The Cathay, which is really close to the city centre. The reason why I bumped into Milkcow was because of a crazy long queue ahead of a small kiosk when I was wandering around and it instantly made me curious what's so good about it and decided to give it a try. As expected, it took me 30' queuing which wasn't so pleasant at all under the heat but since it's freshly opened back then it's totally acceptable, just to prove what a great brand it is.

Caption: Getting down to the menu, You will have 14 different flavours to choose from, all is made with 100% organic milk sourced from Italian dairy farms. Topping ingredients are various from red ginseng syrup, Oreo, organic honeycomb, almond to KitKat, M&M, macaron and so on. However, it's obviously a little overpriced compared to other local brands, and $6 for a cup of ice-cream seems a little too much.

Caption: Out of all local ice-cream joints, Udders might be my most favourite.
With loads of locally inspired flavours like alcohol-spiked flavours, Ameretto, Gila Melaka, fragrant gula Melaka and also non-alcohol based flavours such as chewy attap chee, strawberry, pistachio and Mao Shan Wang durian, serving all types of sweet aficionados. A single scoop starts from $3.50.

Caption: This local brand specialises in homemade ice cream with very unique and exotic flavours. With a wide flavour extension from tangy basil, tofu & dates, pumpkin & winter melon, rosemary-apple, caramelised onion, seaweed to Sarsi-flavoured, chocolate pops, Longan Red Date or chrysanthemum.

Caption: I was looking through my Instagram feed one day and saw a couple of huge-waffle-massive-icecream-scoop check-ins at Sunday Folks and I must say it was visually delicious. That's why I decided to give it a try. Located not so far from Holland Village and actually easy to spot as well, turns out spot is more than familiar with cafe hoppers of Singapore.

Caption: Beside ice-cream, Sunday Folks also offers coffee (starts from $4) and Japanese tea sets (starts from $10). I didn't particularly enjoy the tea set I ordered, possibly because the sweet I had earlier already diluting the taste. However, I highly recommend Sunday Folks. It goes with great interior design which enables you to snap a great Instagram photo from any angle as well.
