Caption: Looking back at these photos now, even though this was only eight weeks ago, clearly, so much has changed. These places won’t have changed. The woods will have more signs of green; the beach at John Muir may have more driftwood washed up on the shore, or perhaps less depending on the tides. But these scenes won’t have changed. It’s just that we can no longer visit them. Not now, anyway. So we are waiting, looking forward to being reunited, like old friends.

Caption: Week seven in mid-February was a very rainy week, so much so that we only had two big walks: one to Bamburgh on the Friday, which I’ve already shared here, and the second in brilliant sunshine on the Sunday, when we had a long walk at John Muir Country Park, dazzled by the bright light and the blues skies. I wasn’t sure what to do with this #shotsoftheweek story given my previous Bamburgh story, but I realised that a black and white VSCO edit would change the feel of this. So I hope you enjoy these landscapes in b+w.

The moments that feed your eyes.
The moments that inspire your creative mind, while quietening the noise.
The moments that bring a sense of calm.
