Caption: While I love cold weather, the shorter days of winter are tough. The lack of light just drains your energy, right? But I realised some weeks ago, when thinking about how to get through the months ahead while retaining a more positive head space, that actually this place, this walk, would be my ‘reset’. Walking at the lagoons, and especially this stretch along the sea wall. Watching the tide ebb and flow, waves crashing into the wall below me, clouds sweeping over the Forth. The light constantly shifting. And birds, so many birds, feeding at the water’s edge or gliding past.
