Caption: Gairo, The ghost village Old Gairo was a little village with about two thousand inhabitants. In 1951, it rained as much in two days as it had rained in the past two years. Therefore people abandoned the town and today the village resambles a ghost town. It's quite picturesque!

Caption: S’Arcu ‘e Is Forros is one of the most important archeological sites in Sardinia. It’s a sanctuary/village from the Nuragic period located in the Villagrande Strisaili area on the border between Ogliastra and Barbagia.

They are made using a thin dough and the stuffing contains potato, cheese and wild mint or basil.
