At the end of our 3 day adventure we hopped straight on the bus from Uyuni town to Potosí - the world’s highest city at 4,067m.
The city was formed after discovery of silver in Cerro Rico, the mountain that towers over the city. It was once one of the richest cities in the world.

Caption: The no.1 tourist attraction in Potosí is visiting the silver mines that are still in operation (though not yielding silver anymore). We opted out - working conditions are notoriously terrible.
The no. 2 tourist attraction - Casa Nacional de la Moneda - was also closed for refurbishment...
We made do with religious buildings and pretty (graffitied) colonial streets...
