Caption: The quite literal crystal blue water was home to a number of species of animal, which weren’t shy about saying hello.
During the visit I saw many fish, ducks, crayfish and even a couple of snakes.

Caption: Waterfalls Galore The National Park is made up of a chain of 16 lakes.
After seeing some water snakes I learnt that there are 16 species of serpents in Croatia, however only 3 are poisonous.
Caption: There were “beware of bears” signs dotted around the park.
The area is how it is because of the perfect collision between limestone, water and the Croatian climate.
The Lakes provided the backdrop to fierce battles between the Ottoman’s and the Croat’s.
“Big Waterfall” drops 70m into the lake below.
