The Peak District Is an area of outstanding natural beauty situated in the middle of the United Kingdom.
Unspoilt, it helps form the backbone of England with rolling hills and mountains leading to the beautiful Pennines and far beyond.
Surrounded by major cities of industrial Britain. The Peak District can be regarded as the 'lungs', of central England.
An area to admire and an area to relax and play, an area to protect.

Caption: The Peak District An area of great diversity, it is split into the northern Dark Peak, where most of the moorland is found and whose geology is gritstone, and the southern White Peak, where most of the population lives and whose geology is mainly limestone.
