Caption: Every month I take a long road trip somewhere in California to get away from the norm. This trip in particular was visiting one of my best friends up in Central California where there's plenty of open roads to drive on, fields to run through, and mountains to climb on. And we did just that. Girls trip to go hiking, check out vintage shops, and stop to get ice cream. 🍦

Caption: BFFS aka SISTERS These two are some of the most intelligent, kind-hearted and GORGEOUS women on this planet and I'm beyond thankful I get to call them best friends. The day I planned on leaving to see them was a Friday evening after I got off work as a luggage designer for a company in LA. But a surprising turn of events was about to happen. Before my lunch break they laid me off! The company was downsizing and they let go of all the new people and I was the newest designer. I called my best friend and told her I'm on my way! She was so confused and shocked but was excited none the less. Five hours later of my oldies on the iPod, and open roads, I was feeling okay about what's to come next in my life. I knew I would get another job and that I would figure it out. But I knew I wasn't going to let this event ruin my weekend with my best friends. As soon as I arrived, I was in good spirits and I felt at home. We laughed, we adventured, we ate and drank and made so many beautiful memories. It was a trip for the books.
