Caption: The weather in Alberta was continuing to grow colder, undeniable evidence of the winter that was to come.
With few days of warmth remaining, I decided I needed to be in the mountains for one final adventure.
Caption: I had some friends at the Socality Camp, a group of 150 creatives and social media influencers who were going to Moraine Lake for sunrise.
I thought I'd join them. So I drove all night from Edmonton to Banff, only stopping for a short moment to sleep along the highway in my old, well traveled car. The night sky was alive with the northern lights

Caption: Finally the camp arrived and 150 creatives piled out of several buses.
It was fantastic to meet some of the photographers I had long followed on social media and looked up to.
When I found some familiar faces, they invited me to join them on a hike.

Caption: We descended the mountain back towards Lake Moraine.
I snapped a few photos of the lake and my newly met companions then bid them farewell and began my sleepy drive back home.
