Caption: Easing through the ditch, the Silver Lake, a 50 vehicle, 300 passenger sound class ferry prepares to dock in the safe harbor of Silver Lake at Ocracoke Island, a small island along the outer banks of North Carolina. Living here as a small child introduced me to a life and love for all things water. Spending a week on island with Mama was a real treat.
