Caption: Collier Commissioner Tom Henning, who came under fire early this month from the Hispanic community when he called the Golden Gate farmers market’s vendors “these gypsies,” introduced a ban on the market Tuesday at the tail end of the board’s regular meeting. Despite the commissioners not publicizing the fact the ban would be discussed at the meeting and not inviting vendors, patrons or operators of the market to speak, the ban was approved 3-2.
