Caption: Mums and Babies in Mind is a Maternal Mental Health Alliance project supporting local leaders in four areas of England to improve services and care pathways for mums with perinatal mental health problems and their babies. We capture and share our work to inform and inspire others across the UK.
These pages tell the story of our second Leaders' Masterclass in December 2016.

She reminded us of why commissioning is complex, and why it is so important.

Caption: Alain talked about the importance of commissioning for quality: having clear service specs & outcome measures; setting waiting time standards; expecting user participation & participation in research.
Caption: Alain gave us an update on the tools and guidance available to commissioners; the work of the Royal College of Psychiatrists Quality network, and the work NHS England are doing to recommend service specifications, outcome measures and waiting time standards.
