Caption: I am a member of the second group of Remote Year - our cohort name is Battuta, after the explorer Ibn Battuta.
Remote Year is a program that takes a group of 75 people around the world together for a year:
12 cities, 12 months.
Everyone is a digital nomad - we find our own jobs and work remotely.
Our group has 15 nationalities and
an age range of 23-63.
Montevideo, Uruguay was my group's first city and month of our
Remote Year.

Caption: Cabo Polonio A hippie paradise - a small commune out 7 km from the nearest roads with beaches all around, limited electricity, and no running water.
We spent the weekend off the grid, in hammocks, playing on the beach and dunes, and eating our Airbnb host Willy's delicious homemade bread and pizza.

Our workspace for the month was Sinergia Cowork, a coworking space with friendly people, a chef for lunch, ping pong and foosball, movie nights, a rooftop deck, and mate all day.
