Cusco is 3,399 meters (11,152ft) above see level so on your first day here make sure you REST, seriously the altitude made me feel pretty shocking on my first day....just a short walk was exhausting, I felt like I had run a marathon and I only walked 1 block😂
Most of the hotels have oxygen for you to use if you need it and you can also drink so tea made from the Coca leaves which the Incan people used for years to help relieve the symptoms.

Caption: After the 4hr train journey you arrive in the town of Aguas Calientes, which is the starting point to get to Machu Picchu. From here you catch a bus up the windy mountain road to get to the remarkable Incan ruins 😱😱😱
