It refreshes you and allows you to truly experience new things and live life fully!
However, like any mom, I can’t break the bank - here are some tips of things I recommend to see or do while in Louisville, KY.

Caption: The rooftop pool and poolside service alone is enough for anyone to feel like they’re on a fancy vacation - even just a couple of hours from home As I said before, I’m not one who enjoys breaking the bank so be sure to book your stay on a 3rd party website (ex: booking.com or Hotwire)
We stayed here, which normally would cost $300.00+ per night for about half of that.
Tip: try to stay on weeknights

Caption: I’m not kidding when I say I could’ve enjoyed my whole stay just inside of that hotel. There were several restaurants, bars, a spa, market, liquor store, and my personal favorite was the rooftop lounge area
(The prices on things are high so I would bring your own and enjoy :D )

I really enjoyed going during the week and having a more relaxing low key time .
If you’re like me, I suggest going to see 4th st and spending an evening in the Sports& Social Club bar.
It’s a sports bar with an open concept that has a bowling alley included

Caption: Gordon Biersch Brewery BY farrr my favorite place to eat (lunch or dinner) on 4th st. Prices are affordable, great selection, they brew their own beers, and the experience is different whether you sit inside or out.
I’m not a craft beer person so I would recommend trying their “strawberry Soda” (includes alcohol) if you aren’t either

Caption: We were told to try the Brazeiros steak house on 4th st. If you’re ballin on a budget I would NOT NOT NOT recommend. It’s a different kind of eating experience but the prices are outrageous and NO ONE I’ve ever met can eat as much meat as they offer to get your money’s worth

Caption: Instead, ask locals for some favorite restaurant choices outside of 4th st.
Trust me when I say the food is amazing and the prices are a lot more reasonable .
Usually you’ll end up at places that have really unique atmospheres and different things than you would ever enjoy in your home town

Caption: I would also stress to try to go eat lunch or breakfast on the college campus, it’s BEAUTIFUL, and the atmosphere is unbeatable

Caption: Churchill Downs Another affordable thing you should do -even out of your comfort zone- is take a tour of Churchill Downs. It was around $15.00 and lasted about an hour- an hour and a half.

Caption: We laughed a lot and learned a lot about something I probably wouldn’t have ever been interested in TBH Now, I’m dying to see a horse race. It’s the perfect way to experience the class of what some get to enjoy and see what Louisville has been known for so long
