Video of Ruine Wernerkapelle
Caption: Located behind the St. Peter Church, the Wernerkapelle is a more than 500 year-old gothic ruin. The ruin hides a dark past. A murder on Maundy Thursday in 1287 of the 16-year-old Werner was the reason for the construction of the chapel. The Wernerkapelle was built in honor of the unlucky kid and it soon became a pilgrimage site. Nowadays, the Wernerkapelle is also considered iconic German Romantic art.
