Caption: So today it was time. We drove just 20 minutes South of Bozeman, MT to the Lava Lake Trail which follows Cascade Creek 3 miles up to Lava Lake.

Caption: The trail is considered moderate in difficulty and is rather rocky. Due to the dense evergreen forest views are limited until you get to the lake.
