Picture of Ladakh

Caption: Alta solar In July of 2014 I accompanied a non profit to the northern reaches of India, a region called Ladakh. The organization, Alta Solar Project, was delivering portable solar panels to nomadic communities in the Himalayas. The tribes traditional lighting source was kerosene lamps, a highly dirty and unhealthy source of illumination.
I documented the entire trip and am in the process of creating a short film highlighting the work, and the region. Here is some of the still imagery I captured highlighting the remarkable spirit of the place.
