Caption: Karimunjawa is an island chain stretching in a northwesterly direction 83 km from Jepara, Central Java. This archipelago is a cluster of 27 islands in the java sea. Only seven of the islands are inhabited.
The reefs are a mixture of fringing, barrier, and patch with bottom depths ranging from 15 to 40 meters. The name of Karimunjawa is taken from Javanese language 'Kremun kremun saking tanah Jawi' addressed by one of Wali Songo (the Nine Saints who had introduced Islam in Java) to describe how far this mini archipelago from Java, to be exact from Semarang and Jepara.

Here can be found protected coral reefs (very colorful plateaus and plains in deep and shallow waters), secluded and tranquil white beaches, pelican and hornbill, sea grass and kinds of sea creatures, from crabs, anchovy, starfish, sharks, stingray, jellyfish, red snappers, etc.

Caption: On the fourth day, i woke up on 05.00 AM for packing and then check out. After that, i walk to the harbour and buying the economic ferry ticket based on the schedule that will departure on 07.00 AM and need 5 hour accrosing the sea from Karimun Jawa to Kartini Harbour, Jepara.

Caption: Some advice if you wanna visiting Karimun Jawa.
1. Check the weather first, cause if you going there on bad weather, there's no ferry to departure. (best weather on end of March - Middle of May).
2. Check the ferry schedule cause there are 2 kind ferry. Express ferry and economic ferry. Both of ferry has different schedule. It mean the ferry just avail at once in a day.
3. Express ferry will departure on 10.00 AM and economic ferry will departure on 07.00 AM from Kartini Harbour to the Karimun Jawa. If you get late, there's no ferry anymore.
4. If you start from Jakarta just take train or flight to Semarang and then continue with minibus (travel bus) that will start on 04.30 AM to Kartini Harbour in Jepara and need 2.5 hour.
5. After arrive in Karimun Jawa harbour, if you aren't booked up yet the homestay/hotel, you can find it on the spot, but better booked up first by online.
6. Ask the receptionist of your homestay/hotel to joined with other group for hoping island, snorkeling or scuba diving.
7. The best time to enjoying Karimun Jawa is 4D3N. And bring your own sunblock if you don't want get sunburn.
8. Enjoy your holiday in Karimun Jawa.
